Asbjorn Lonvig was born in Brande, Denmark in 1949. Asbjorn followed a career in IT and established his own software company until 1985 when he sold his company.
In April 1986 he decided to become an artist and for the next 10 years produced work using traditional methods, such as collage, silk printing, oil paintings. In 2006, Asbjorn was awarded The World of Art Award (WAA) in London UK which is granted to artists, galleries and museums that are pursuing "best practices" in art and culture. This award was followed by Juxtaposition 2006 in Rome, Italy and International Graphic Design Award in Montreal, Canada and in 2009 he was chosen as one of the 100 contemporary artists worldwide to be included in the art book, Creative GENIUS.
At present Lonvig creates huge acrylic paintings that have been inspired by his travel experiences as well as doing interactive lectures using an Internet line and projector.
His work has been exhibited in Japan, Philippines, Australia, Canada, USA, United Kingdom and Europe.
